Oven Repair — Book a Visit Today
An oven quits when you need it most. Usually it's a bake element that burned through, an igniter too weak to open the gas valve, a temperature sensor drifting off, or a control board that stopped listening to the touchpad. Door hinges sag. Seals flatten. Heat leaks out and everything bakes uneven. When we come out, we run the oven, read the sensor, check the igniter's glow and draw, and look at the wiring behind the back panel before we say a word about parts. Then you hear what's wrong in plain language and decide from there. We work on all major brands as an independent shop, and we keep swing-shift hours. Call us and tell us what it's doing.

The oven symptoms we hear most
- "It preheats forever and never beeps." Weak bake element or a temperature sensor reading high
- "Cookies burn on the bottom, raw on top." Failed element, bad fan in convection models, or a sagging door seal
- "I smell gas but nothing lights." Igniter not drawing enough current to open the safety valve — stop and call
- "Touchpad lights up, buttons do nothing." Membrane switch failure or a control board that's lost its inputs
- "Door won't shut flush anymore." Stretched hinges, worn gasket, or a warped inner panel letting heat escape
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Confirm the oven is off any timed or delay-bake setting, since a stray program keeps it from firing on command.
- 2Check the house breaker for the range, because an electric oven can lose one leg of power and still light the clock.
- 3Look at the door gasket all the way around for gaps, tears, or flattened spots you can feel with a fingertip.
- 4Set an oven thermometer on the center rack, run 350 for twenty minutes, and note how far off it lands.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us what it's doing
Ring us or fill in the form. Give us the noise, the smell, the error code, the brand. Small details help us load the right parts before we ever knock on your door.
- Step 2
We come look
Our tech tests the machine instead of guessing. You hear what failed and why, in plain words. Then you decide whether repairing it makes sense or replacing it makes more sense.
- Step 3
Repair and retest
Approved work gets done, often the same visit. We run a full cycle before packing up, wipe down the area, and show you what changed so nothing surprises you next week.

Oven Repair — quick answers
My oven runs hot. Is that a sensor or a board?
Most often the temperature sensor. It's a probe inside the cavity that drifts as it ages, so the control keeps heating past your setpoint. We measure its resistance cold and hot. If it reads correctly, we move on to the control board.
The igniter glows but the gas never lights. Why?
Glowing isn't enough. That igniter has to pull a specific amount of current to trip the safety valve open. A weak one still glows orange while the valve stays shut. We test the draw, not the color.
Can I keep using the oven with a broken door seal?
You can, but expect uneven results and a hotter kitchen. Escaping heat makes the oven cycle constantly and bakes the top and bottom differently. A flattened gasket is a quick fix compared to chasing phantom temperature complaints.
What does the self-clean cycle do to an oven?
It runs extremely hot, and that heat is hard on thermal fuses, door latches, and control boards. Plenty of ovens die right after a self-clean. If yours went dark after one, mention that when you call us.
Do you work on both gas and electric ovens?
Yes. Gas ranges, electric ranges, wall ovens, and double ovens. Gas work centers on igniters, valves, and safety devices. Electric work leans toward elements, relays, and wiring. Tell us which you have so we bring the right parts.
How long does a typical oven repair take?
Many visits wrap up the same trip once we diagnose. Elements, igniters, and sensors are common parts. A control board or a discontinued panel may need ordering, and we'll tell you that on the spot rather than after.
