Dishwasher Repair — Book a Visit Today
A dishwasher usually warns you before it quits. Dishes come out gritty. Water sits in the tub overnight. The door drips onto the floorboards. Out here, hard water is often the culprit — scale coats the heater, plugs the spray arm holes, and stiffens the inlet valve until it won't open right. Other times it's a worn pump seal, a tired drain motor, or a control board that lost its mind mid-cycle. When we come out, we run the machine, listen to it, pull the lower rack and filter, and check the drain line and water supply before we call it. Then we tell you what we found in plain words. Call us and we'll set a window that fits your shift.

The dishwasher symptoms we hear most
- There's standing water in the bottom every morning Drain pump, clogged filter or sump, or a kinked drain hose
- Dishes come out chalky and gritty Scale buildup on the heater and spray arms, low inlet water, or a spent detergent dispenser
- Water is creeping out the bottom of the door Door gasket, tub seal, or an overfilling float switch
- It hums but never fills Water inlet valve, supply shutoff, or a failed float and pressure sensor
- The cycle starts, then the lights just blink Control board fault, door latch switch, or a heating element the machine can't verify
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Pull the bottom rack and lift out the cylinder filter — food sludge down there stops drainage cold.
- 2Look under the sink and make sure the drain hose isn't crushed behind a trash can or clogged at the disposal inlet.
- 3Run the hot tap at the sink for a minute so the dishwasher starts with hot water instead of cold.
- 4Wipe the door gasket with a damp rag and check for cracks, hard spots, or a chunk of plastic wrap stuck in the seal.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us what it's doing
Ring us or fill in the form. Give us the noise, the smell, the error code, the brand. Small details help us load the right parts before we ever knock on your door.
- Step 2
We come look
Our tech tests the machine instead of guessing. You hear what failed and why, in plain words. Then you decide whether repairing it makes sense or replacing it makes more sense.
- Step 3
Repair and retest
Approved work gets done, often the same visit. We run a full cycle before packing up, wipe down the area, and show you what changed so nothing surprises you next week.

Dishwasher Repair — quick answers
Why does my dishwasher smell even after a full cycle?
Odor almost always comes from trapped food. Check the filter, the sump area under it, and the spray arm holes. A drain line that loops too low can also hold dirty water. We clear those spots during a service visit.
Is it worth repairing an older dishwasher?
Often, yes. Pumps, valves, latches, and heating elements are replaceable parts. If the tub is cracked or several major components have failed together, we'll say so plainly and let you decide without pressure.
Do you work on all brands?
We service all major residential brands as an independent shop. We're not tied to any manufacturer, so our recommendation is based on your machine's condition, not on somebody's parts quota.
How does hard water hurt a dishwasher?
Minerals bake onto the heating element and clog the tiny spray arm jets. Wash quality drops first. Later the inlet valve sticks. Regular use of a rinse aid slows it down, but scale still builds over the years.
My dishes have white film. Is the machine broken?
Maybe not. Film is usually mineral residue or too little rinse aid. If cleaning the spray arms and adding rinse aid doesn't help, the heater or the water inlet may not be doing its job. We can test both.
How long does a typical repair take?
Many jobs finish in one visit once we've diagnosed the fault. Uncommon control boards or brand-specific pumps sometimes need ordering. We'll tell you which situation you're in before we leave your kitchen.
