Dryer Repair — Book a Visit Today

Wet towels after a full cycle. A drum that squeals like a rusty gate. A dryer that runs, heats, then quits ten minutes in. Dryers fail in patterns, and most of those patterns come down to airflow, heat, or a worn moving part. Out here, lint packs into long vent runs and dust rides in on the dry air, so we always look at the whole path from drum to wall. A visit starts with your description, then a real look inside: heating element, thermal fuse, belt, rollers, blower wheel, moisture sensor, vent restriction. We work on gas and electric, all major brands, as an independent shop. Swing-shift hours help if your days are booked. Call us and tell us what it's doing.

Dryer Repair — residential dryer being serviced

The dryer symptoms we hear most

  • Clothes come out damp every time Blocked vent, clogged lint path, or a failing moisture sensor
  • Drum spins but there's no heat at all Heating element, gas igniter, thermal fuse, or thermostat failure
  • Loud thumping and squealing when it tumbles Worn drum rollers, idler pulley, or a stretched belt
  • Won't start when I press the button Door switch, start switch, thermal fuse, or control board fault
  • Something smells hot or scorched Lint buildup near the element and restricted exhaust airflow

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Pull the lint screen all the way out and rinse it under water to see if it's coated with softener film.
  • 2Look behind the dryer for a crushed or kinked flex vent hose.
  • 3Step outside and check that the vent flap actually opens while the dryer runs.
  • 4Make sure the door latches fully and the breaker hasn't tripped on one leg.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us what it's doing

Ring us or fill in the form. Give us the noise, the smell, the error code, the brand. Small details help us load the right parts before we ever knock on your door.

  2. Step 2

    We come look

Our tech tests the machine instead of guessing. You hear what failed and why, in plain words. Then you decide whether repairing it makes sense or replacing it makes more sense.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and retest

Approved work gets done, often the same visit. We run a full cycle before packing up, wipe down the area, and show you what changed so nothing surprises you next week.

Dryer Repair — quick answers

Why does my dryer take three cycles to dry a load?

Almost always airflow. Lint narrows the vent, so hot wet air can't leave the drum. Clothes just bake instead of drying. We check the whole run, clear restrictions, and test airflow and temperature before calling it fixed.

Is a squealing drum something I can ignore?

Better not to. Squealing usually means rollers or the idler pulley are worn. Keep running it and the belt can shred or the drum can score the housing. Catching it early keeps the repair simple.

Do you handle gas dryers as well as electric?

Yes, both. Gas models add an igniter, gas valve coils, and a flame sensor to the list of suspects. Electric models lean toward heating elements and thermostats. We test the parts rather than guessing at them.

My dryer heats, then shuts off partway through. What's happening?

That pattern points at a thermostat or thermal cutoff reacting to overheating, and overheating usually traces back to restricted exhaust. Replacing the fuse alone won't hold. The airflow problem has to go with it.

Can hard water or dust really affect a dryer?

Indirectly, yes. Softener residue glazes the lint screen so air can't pass. Fine outdoor dust settles in the blower housing and vent. Both choke airflow, which shortens the life of heating parts.

Should I repair or replace an older dryer?

Depends on what failed. Rollers, belts, elements, and switches are routine parts on most machines. If the drum is cracked or the cabinet is rusted through, we'll say so plainly so you can decide.
